Sunflower Power: Why We Use Sunflower Lecithin (Not Sunflower Oil) in Send Bars

At Send, every ingredient we use is chosen for more than just taste – it’s about purpose, balance, and making you feel good. When it comes to sunflowers, we aren’t just picking petals – we’ve made a conscious decision to use sunflower lecithin instead of sunflower oil in our bars. Why? Let’s break it down.

1. What’s the Difference?

Think of sunflower lecithin as the multitasking superhero of sunflower-derived ingredients. It’s a natural emulsifier that keeps our dreamy blends smooth and perfectly mixed. Sunflower oil, while common in snacks, mainly adds fat – and not always the kind your body loves best.

We use non-chemically expressed sunflower lecithin in our bars. It helps the oils (from nut butters) and dates blend smoothly and stay perfectly combined throughout our 12-month shelf life – no preservatives or chemicals needed.

2. A Better-for-You Ingredient

Sunflower lecithin is packed with brain-boosting phospholipids that support healthy cells, mental focus, and better digestion. Unlike highly processed sunflower oil, lecithin is a minimally processed ingredient that offers benefits beyond texture.

3. Smooth, Balanced Flavor – No Compromises

Texture and flavor matter. Sunflower lecithin helps give our bars their crave-worthy consistency without overpowering the taste. The result? A balanced, perfectly blended bite, every time.

Why We’re Sticking with Lecithin

At Send, we’re all about simplicity and quality. Ingredients like sunflower lecithin help us stay true to that mission. So, when you unwrap your next bar, know that every smooth, delicious bite was made with thoughtful, functional ingredients chosen with care.

Here’s to snacks that work harder – and taste better – for you.

More sending. More joy. More flavor.
